Age has a way of sucking the love of life out of many people, including women. Many of the "older" women sadly seem to fall into the catagory, having lost their dreams and seek to blame others -- especially men. Younger women, in general, have yet to become so jaded; angered at life. They, in part, thus provide much of the life and joy many of us men still have and/or seek in our lives -- and thus the joy of being around younger women.
I dated someone in their 20s (I am 50) and wanted to kill myself. I think men who go young are trying to prove that they still can. I think they are afraid of getting old and death (see Moonstruck). When it all comes down to it, relationships are really about companionship, they are about talking and hanging out, about enjoying the poetry of life. Men who go young are not poets. They are pretenders and women of substance should be glad to see them go.
TheUncle is correct about all things and you are too soft. Younger women are fun, smart and don't bring the damage. Women over 50 (no, make that 40) should be shot.
I don't chase youngsters, but TheUncle is right about some things: women in their 40s often seem mad at the world. They don't exude the joy you find in younger women. That being said, when you do find someone with experience who is able to live in the present and be grateful...there is nothing better. Unfortunately, most men will not do the leg work to get to that good place with someone. We are often impatient and lazy. I guess it is sometimes just a lot easier to go young. Probably why a lot of older women like younger men these days.
Simple. Some would say because they are hot. But it is more because they are not jaded. Women in their 40s--and some in their 30s--are bitter, cynical and depressing. They have are usually divorced, single Moms making far less than they should and have a big old chip on their shoulder. It is true they can be fun and sexy and smart. But most of the time they are just a drag. Young women have their own problems but at least they remember how to smile.
